Coach Dalić opted for a 3-4-3 formation, making three changes to the lineup. Livaković was in goal, with a defensive trio of Gvardiol, Erlić, and Sutalo. Wingbacks Sosa and Perišić provided width, while the midfield was anchored by Modrić and Sučić, who both played crucial roles in controlling the game. In attack, Kramarić operated on the left, with Matanović as the central striker and Baturina on the right.

Petar Sučić’s performance was highlighted by his contribution to two of Croatia’s three goals. He scored a beautiful goal of a nice Baturina assist, then two minutes later he provided a superb assist for Martin Baturina’s goal in the 26th minute that gave Croatia a 3-1 lead in the match.

In addition to his offensive contributions, Sučić exhibited strong work ethic in midfield, effectively linking play between defense and attack. His ability to break up opposition plays and transition quickly into offensive movements was crucial for Croatia’s early dominance in the game.
