AC Milan moved to the top of the Serie A table, at least temporarily, with a convincing 3-0 victory over Lecce at San Siro, marked by a quick three-goal flurry in the first half.
Milan initially struggled to break down Lecce's compact defense, and the visitors posed some danger on the counter. However, the breakthrough came in the 38th minute when Alvaro Morata headed in from a Theo Hernandez free-kick, sparking a collapse in Lecce's defense. Two minutes later, Hernandez added a second goal, smashing home a close-range shot after a perfectly timed pass from Rafael Leao. Christian Pulisic completed the scoring in the 43rd minute, pouncing on a rebound after a chaotic series of attempts by Tammy Abraham.
Despite missing several chances to extend their lead in the second half, Milan controlled the game comfortably. Lecce hit the post through Banda, but an offside flag ruled out any chance of a comeback. Late in the game, young Milan defender Davide Bartesaghi was harshly sent off for a tackle on Banda, but that did not take away from the Rossoneri’s dominant performance.
Milan's strong win was boosted by the performances of Morata, Leao, and Hernandez, while Lecce struggled to cope with the speed and quality of their transitions.

⭐ Man of the Match: Hernandez (8.0 – MOTM): The assist for Morata was very nice, even if the attacker did most of the work, and the strike to double the lead was fantastic. He had a chance to score a fourth before half-time in a similar position but missed the target that time. In addition to a goal and an assist, he was very solid defensively and continued to threaten Lecce in attack.
📉 Flop of the Match: Tammy Abraham (5.5): Abraham worked hard but struggled with ball control and link-up play. He missed two clear chances before Pulisic’s goal and lacked sharpness in front of goal. His pass accuracy was notably lower than the other starters, highlighting the need for improvement in his overall play.
