Bayern Munich is facing a major rebuild this summer after they went trophyless last year for the first time since 2012.
They already got a new coach, after a very long and exhausting search, in Vincent Kompany and Bayern wasted no time getting to work on the transfer market. João Palhinha, Michael Olise and Hiroki Ito are already signed. But Bayern aren´t done yet. Far from it.
Max Eberl, Bayerns head of sport, has is eyes on Xavi Simons. The young dutchman who set the Bundesliga on fire last season for RB Leipzig is the hottest transfer target at Säbener Straße. Apparently Eberl is calling every single day to make sure the transfer goes through. He is obsessed with 21 year old. Bayern reached an agreement with the management of Simons days ago.
But: Bayern dont have an easy path to the signature of Simons, RB Leipzig, the club he spent last season on loan with, is also interested in resigning Simons. Leipzig also have everything agreed with Xavis Management. Contract duration, salary, bonuses, even the shirt number. Everything is agreed.
Now its time for Xavi to decide his future. He already made his mind up about one thing - he doesnt want to stay at PSG. No matter what. The bright talent will make a decision over his next club as early as next week.
According to my sources Bayern is very optimistic internally of getting Xavis "yes" week.
After the Transfer of Xavi, Bayern still wont be ready with this years business. Tah and Doué are still on Bayerns shopping list. They are also keen on selling players like De Ligt, Coman, Gnabry and Goretzka.
